There are many critical issues you need to deal with when you sell your products or services on the Internet in order to maximize the amount of sales.

As I mentioned in the previous newsletter, the design and presentation are very important, so are the products. Practical issues such as shipping, guarantees, and customer service are also very important.

You need to offer the best solutions in all areas.

Another very critical issue is payment methods.

It can be decisive for a purchase!

Many online stores offer just one or perhaps two payment options. It can be very limiting, not attractive or not even an option for a potential customer. You can lose a lot of sales and business on just this matter.

What payment methods to accept depend on your type of business, your customers and their location, your type of products, and several other factors.

Find out what methods are most suitable in your case. If you already sell your products offline, perhaps your new online customers prefer other payment methods.

Keep this key-rule in mind; Offer as many payment methods as possible that will work for your type of customers (preferable at least 3 or 4).

If your customers are local, offer local methods.

If your customers are international, most likely you will need to offer many payments methods, including payments directly online such as credit cards.

Bottom line. Make your customers feel secure and make everything possible to make it as easy and convenient as possible for them to buy from you.

The new year's nearly here and it's a perfect time to start thinking of ways to revitalize your website. Here are 27 ways you can boost your traffic.

  • Create a list of top keywords and integrate them into any new web pages you make
  • Use keywords in your TITLE tags
  • Read Problogger.net regularly and always submit to the article contests
  • Include social bookmarking links on your site, to allow your users to vote for your blog
  • Design your site with your users in mind. not just the search engines
  • Do keyword research, know what words people use to search for your subject
  • Update your site as often as you can
  • Write interesting, exciting, informative, punchy, useful text
  • Remember to address the needs of your users
  • Try to provide solutions to problems your users experience
  • Have an “about us” section on your website
  • Have contact details on your site
  • Add your site to popular web directories
  • Add comments to blogs, especially ones on a similar subject as your site
  • Write articles and post them on article directories, like ideamarketers.com
  • Add your pages to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious and Reddit
  • Make sure your URLs are search engine friendly, and use keywords in them
  • Subscribe to, and participate in, forums in your sector a
  • Answer posts on forums with useful answers ...
  • ... and then add a link to your site in your signature
  • Get a Myspace, Bebo or Squidoo page and link back to your site
  • Link to sites your users will find useful and informative
  • Get to know your competitors
  • Swap articles with your competitors
  • Swap links with competitors
  • Launch joint projects with competitors
  • Ask friends, relatives, your local Chamber of Commerce, library, suppliers etc. for links
