Christmas is here, shopping hysteria has begun, and it is estimated to break new records this year...AGAIN! Especially in the United States.

First you might think this does not concern you. It is so far away, right? Wrong! It is just one screen away and it might be exactly what you need.

The US is a highly diverse and complex market but also enormous in size. There is room for everyone, as long as you have something interesting to offer that this hungry market wants. Even a small share is huge. Using the Net is one of the cheapest and most convenient ways to reach these new customers. Especially since a large portion of the Christmas shopping is done right here, online.

I just read an interesting survey how visitors act when they come to an online store, look here:

  • Just over 4 minutes is the average time visitors spend at an online store.
  • 19% uses the search function to find products (an increase with 3% from previous year).
  • 10% adds something to the shopping cart.
  • 58% of those who add something to the shopping cart completes the purchase.

Once you have got one additional new product online it then requires very little additional maintenance other than to fulfill orders and some monthly promotion.

Now you can look at adding numerous additional products and goods, again all for little or no additional costs. Best of all, you can use the credibility of selling for existing businesses and manufacturers to get a good discount level for your new products by using them as leverage to gain further discounts.
