Dear reader,

Joint ventures are probably the #1 method we have found to grow our business. We constantly search for and do new joint ventures with companies in different fields (even with our competition!). The key is to find a way to work together which gives everybody involved a lot in return.

Joint ventures can be done by *any* company. They can be easy, free, quick, and *very* powerful.

If you don't know what joint ventures are, what they can do for you, or have tried anything like this before -- learn more about it NOW and look for the opportunities that are out there.

You can start today!

This first article will give you an introduction but there are tons of courses and books that will give you a deeper insight. And as always, there is no substitution for trying. Theory is great; saving your time and giving you many ideas, but don't be afraid to put them in practice.

Email communication can be a great door-opener, and using it effectively is critical. The second article will give you some guidelines how to use email to get what you want.

Like always, I hope you'll find these articles interesting and helpful for your own online ventures!

Before we start, permit me to announce an extremely attractive business opportunity for Latin American COMPUTER wholesalers/retailers...

A week ago, I got contacted by a specialized US company who is entering Latin America right now with a very unique deal.

They have the exclusive right in Central and South America (except Brazil) to sell all the products of a major brand company that have been returned from its major retailers in the USA due to damaged packaging.

All products are new, 100% warranted, and priced at levels well below distributors' pricing. Just to give you an idea, the items include various types of cables, network cards, hubs, mice, etc. and are sold at 50-75% of the manufacturer's cost!

I know the company involved and so will you if you are in the business. This is something you do not want to miss. A limited and very profitable opportunity.

If you are interested to get more information, please send me an email and I would be more than happy reveal the company's name and send you all the details. Don't forget to tell me something about your company and where you are located. My email is mailto:eolsson@redtienda.com

Thanks for listening and have a nice day.

Best regards,
Erik G. Olsson, Editor

Joint Ventures Revealed
  -- by Larry Dotson,
http://www.ldpublishing.com

A joint venture is when two or more businesses join together to work on a project for a set period of time. Doing joint ventures with other businesses can increase your chances of beating your competition, increase your sales and increase your profits quickly. Plus:

  • you can save money when businesses share operating costs
  • you can get referrals from other businesses
  • you can save valuable time when businesses share the workload
  • you can offer your customers new products and services
  • you can gain new business associates
  • you can save money by sharing advertising and marketing costs
  • you can get free advice and important information from other businesses

You can find businesses to joint venture with online or offline. I try to find businesses that have the same target audience, but are not direct competition with my business.

Here are a few ways to find joint ventures online:

  • subscribe and participate in e-mail discussion groups, online forums and newsgroups that deal with your target audience
  • subscribe to e-zines that deal with your targeted audience
  • note on your Web site or e-zine that you are interested in doing joint ventures
  • search in your favorite web directories and search engines to find businesses to joint venture with online

Once you find a business simply e-mail them your proposal. Tell the business owner the benefits of the joint venture. Explain to him or her why it would be a win/win situation for both of your businesses. Give them a lot of compliments about their business, Web site, products and services. Using all three methods above will greater your chance of constructing a profitable joint venture. Good Luck!

Top 7 Tips For Writing Effective Email Copy
  -- by Larry Brophy,
http://www.findmorebuyers.com
  --
http://www.redtienda.com/english/newsletter41.htm#2

DON'T recycle traditional direct mail copy. Even if it was successful.

Understand that the Internet is a completely new medium. The copy that pulled high response rates in the world of direct postal marketing doesn't get read on the Net. Especially not as email.

Here are the keys to effective email copy writing:

1. The subject is the headline.
Write a succinct subject "headline" - three to five words. Your subject determines whether your email gets read or not. Tricky headlines (not related to your message) don't work. Internet users are smart and they know exactly what they want. They resent being tricked. It's a tough way to start a relationship.

2. Make it personal.
And compelling. People on the Internet want personal notes. Write for an audience of one. Use common conversation, and avoid formal speech.

3. Get to the point.
Keep it short and simple. Don't drone on and on for several paragraphs...or pages. People on the Internet want information quickly and clearly. Paragraphs should be no more than four to six lines. Keep total length under 300 words.

4. Give them an incentive to act.
Provide a reason to buy or act NOW. People on the Internet tend to have short attention spans. They're in a hurry. Give them a compelling reason to visit your site or buy NOW (limited-time offer, free trial, free shipping, contest, discount, etc.).

5. Include a call to action.
Tell people what you want them to do. Don't leave them wondering what to do next. Point them to your "most desired action." Otherwise they may just surf around and forget what they're trying to accomplish. Then they bail.

6. Use your Web site.
Drive people to your Web site. Don't try to close the sale in the email. You want people to have (and ask) more questions. Questions require interaction, and interaction promotes relationships.

7. Build relationships.
Few (if any) customers worth having are interested in a "one night stand." Have a long-term relationship objective in mind. Listen to your customers. Treat them like you'd like to be treated (so long as you're not a masochist).

Bonus Tip:

8. Follow through.
Do what you say. Put your hands and feet where your mouth is. Deliver on your offer - 'cuz it's an ever increasingly small world. Remember: The Net is NOT a zero-sum game; the only way to win is to share.
